This Little Light of Mine
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
Hide it under a bushel (no!), I’m gonna let it shine.
Hide it under a bushel (no!), I’m gonna let it shine.
Hide it under a bushel (no!), I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
Everywhere I go, I’m gonna let it shine.
Everywhere I go, I’m gonna let it shine.
Everywhere I go, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
“This Little Light of Mine” is an African American spiritual that became popular during the 1950’s and 1960’s when Zilphia Horton and Fannie Lou Hamer helped make it a Civil Rights Anthem. It eventually became a popular children’s song, sung at churches, synagogues, camps, and schools.
